The Entertainment Practice Group, per se, represents domestic and foreign entities and individuals involved in the entertainment industry, both domestically and internationally, including music, music publishing, theater, commercial and cable television, and motion pictures. The scope of our representation includes the structuring and negotiating of contracts relating to personal services of performers and industry executives, licensing, project financing, production, publishing and promotion. The firm also provides representation in respect to entertainment-related litigation and labor matters.
In addition to the representation and counseling of our entertainment clients, we have handled substantial litigation involving copyright, trademark and tradename issues; First Amendment litigation; defamation, false light and invasion of privacy cases; matters concerning merchandising rights; royalty disputes; and breach of contract disputes regarding artists’ and producers’ contracts, production agreements, financing agreements, and management and merchandising contracts.
