Ms. Hattenbach is a corporate and litigation attorney experienced in a wide array of general business and transactional matters. She has nearly two decades of experience providing full service legal representation to small corporations and individuals. Her skillset is purposefully broad, and enables her to maintain longstanding relationships with her clients as they mature and evolve.
On the corporate side, Ms. Hattenbach regularly helps startups navigate the incorporation and financing process and continues to serve as their general outside counsel as they grow, sometimes into publicly traded companies. In the realm of litigation, she has handled a wide variety of civil actions ranging from simple contract, tort and bankruptcy cases to complex medical malpractice and wrongful death matters. Ms. Hattenbach also frequently assists clients with estate planning.
Ms. Hattenbach is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law (J.D., 1997). During law school, she served as a member of the editorial board for the UCLA Women’s Law Journal and received the best brief award in the UCLA Moot Court competition. She received her undergraduate education from Scripps College (B.A., with Honors, 1994), where she dual majored in economics and politics while earning twelve academic scholarships and the Joan Robinson Prize in Economics for her contribution to the advancement of economic theory.
Both while working and in her spare time, Ms. Hattenbach is deeply committed to community service. For more than fifteen years she has served as Chairman of the Board of a Los Angeles-based charitable organization and regularly speaks before public interest groups. She has received numerous awards for her public service, including the Kiwanis International Award.
Ms. Hattenbach is a member of the State Bar of California, the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the American Bar Association. She is licensed to practice before all of the California state courts, and before the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
